Travis received his Master of Science in Pure Mathematics from the University of Mississippi. During his undergrad, he traveled to Louisiana State University where the National Science Foundation funded his mathematics research. While there, he also mentored high-schoolers from around the nation in algebra and combinatorics. Travis has taught mathematics at the University of Mississippi for four years, has worked for their iStudy online distance learning program as well as the university’s online High School. He is writing a mathematics textbook as well as a book on chess mastery. He is currently a math instructor in the Memphis Area.
With more than a decade of tutoring experience, Travis has guided many students toward success in their schooling endeavors. He helps students with topics ranging from basic Algebra, Statistics, higher level Calculus, and even ACT Prep. He believes that learning mathematics does not have to be as daunting as most people make it out to be. He focuses on efficient learning and understanding, while also preparing students for tests and how to study for them. Travis teaches his students how to learn and instills a fire of curiosity in them.
